Chief of Ghosts is proud to present our re-working of T.Rex's “Children of the Revolution,” dedicated to the brave people of Ukraine in their fight for freedom.

 

Our vocalist and keyboard player Adam Sigel has worked in the Ukrainian film industry for almost a decade. As Russia attacked on February 24, 2022, he was in the studio, receiving terrified texts from his friends and colleagues. Adam turned to music and his close-knit band of friends, Chief of Ghosts, to raise their voices together in support of Ukraine. 

 

The result: “Children of the Revolution:  For Ukraine,” a fusion of the classic T.Rex anthem with new lyrical and musical sections written by Adam and Chief of Ghosts.

 

The video features documentary footage sent by Adam’s Ukrainian friends from the frontlines of revolution and war in Ukraine. This is not from the news, but rather footage gathered from Ukrainian soldiers, activists, filmmakers, artists, creators, and civilians on the ground. Film Director Jason Matzner, our guitarist, directed the video, editing this gut-wrenching footage together with passionate performances from the band to honor the rage, heartbreak, and resilience of the Ukrainian people.
